Wolves in Your Classroom: A New Teacher Workshop offered by the
Yellowstone Association Institute. December 1-3, 2007 at
the Lamar Valley Buffalo Ranch.
Educators:
Immerse yourself in the heart of wolf country as you learn how to bring
wolves in your classroom. Discover how wolves provide the key to opening
students’ interest in ecology, biology, wildlife management and
research. During field trips, you’ll observe wolves and explore their
habitat; you’ll also spend time with scientists who discuss wolf
behavior and ecology. Your instructors are educators from the National
Park Service and the Yellowstone Association Institute who will model an
even-handed hands-on educational approach that airs all perspectives
fully, accurately, and sympathetically. You’ll leave with complete
wolf education curriculum, and be renewed and excited about sharing
science with your students.
